
North India is set to experience heavy rainfall this week, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD). The forecast includes torrential rains in Northwest regions such as Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Uttarakhand, and East Rajasthan from June 22nd to June 28th. The monsoon has already made progress in Himachal Pradesh, Ladakh, Kashmir, Jammu, and certain areas of Punjab. By June 24th, Delhi/NCR will also face intense rainfall. The Weather Department has also issued alerts for thunderstorms, lightning, and heavy rainfall in Northeast India for the next seven days. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions. The conditions are also becoming conducive for the advancement of the southwest monsoon across East, Central, and West India, including Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Gangetic West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Vidarbha, Chhattisgarh, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Sikkim, and Odisha.
