
Moscow was the venue for a key meeting between India’s External Affairs Minister, S Jaishankar, and Russian President Vladimir Putin. The EAM extended greetings from Prime Minister Narendra Modi as preparations intensify for the forthcoming Annual India-Russia Summit. In a post detailing the meeting, Jaishankar stated it was an honor to meet President Putin and to convey the Prime Minister’s regards. He further informed the Russian President about the ongoing preparations for the summit and exchanged views on current regional and global dynamics. Jaishankar underscored the importance of President Putin’s insights for the continued growth of bilateral ties. He reiterated India’s stance that the partnership between India and Russia has historically been a cornerstone of international stability.
