A judicial commission investigating the MUDA scam has cleared Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his family of any wrongdoing. Minister H.K. Patil confirmed that the commission, headed by P.N. Desai, found no evidence of misconduct related to the Mysuru Urban Development Authority. The cabinet has agreed to recommend action against officials and will further discuss the matter. The allegations relate to the allotment of 14 plots to Siddaramaiah’s wife by MUDA. Furthermore, the state cabinet plans to advise the State Election Commission to conduct local body elections using ballot papers, citing concerns about the current voter list and EVM reliability.
