Following a shooting incident and subsequent threats, Mumbai Police have contacted comedian Kapil Sharma. While Sharma hasn’t filed an official complaint, the police have begun an investigation. Sharma has informed the police that he hasn’t received any direct threats from any criminals. This situation arose after an earlier shooting at his ‘Caps Cafe’ in Canada. At that time, Sharma also informed Mumbai Police that he had not been threatened. With this being the second occurrence, the Crime Branch has reached out to Sharma, treating the situation seriously. Sharma has reiterated that he has not been directly threatened. The police are thoroughly examining Sharma’s Call Detail Record (CDR) and Internet Protocol Detail Record (IPDR) to uncover any possible criminal conspiracy. The police are also determining if Kapil Sharma should receive police protection. The Crime Branch is investigating all aspects to mitigate any potential risks. The police are in an alert state following the cafe shooting and the threat. Both the police and intelligence agencies are being vigilant and not dismissing any potential threats or connections. Even without a direct complaint from Sharma, security measures are in place.
