Mohan Bhagwat, the head of RSS, launched the ‘Sangh Geet’ album in Nagpur on Sunday. Bhagwat dedicated the songs to the motherland during the event, explaining that the songs symbolize devotion to the motherland and a life of dedication, born from the volunteers’ experiences. The album includes a collection of songs associated with the RSS. The ‘Sangh Geet’ album features 25 songs sung by Shankar Mahadevan, who performed 10 songs at the event. Bhagwat shared that the RSS has a wide array of songs in various Indian languages, estimated to be around 25,000 to 30,000. He noted that the essence of these songs is the feeling of dedication, and the composers’ names are often obscure.
Among the attendees were Union Minister Nitin Gadkari and Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis. Gadkari recognized the launch of Sangh Geet as a historic occasion, predicting the songs would be a source of inspiration for patriotism. Fadnavis remarked that each Sangh Geet is profoundly inspiring and provides valuable life lessons.
