The third National Lok Adalat of 2025 will take place on Saturday, September 13th, across the entire nation. This legal mechanism is organized to offer relief to the public concerning various legal issues. As a Jan Adalat, it allows individuals to settle pending cases and disputes through mutual consent. The scope of the Lok Adalat extends to traffic challans, potentially reducing the fines. Furthermore, it will address diverse cases, including family matters such as property acquisition, financial disputes, and marital issues. The upcoming Lok Adalat will resolve criminal compoundable offenses, cases under the Negotiable Instruments Act (Section 138), bank recovery cases, Motor Accident Claims Tribunal cases, matrimonial disputes, labour disputes, land acquisition cases, electricity and water bills (excluding non-compoundable theft cases), service matters, revenue cases, and other civil cases. It is held in district courts, taluka-level courts, labour and industrial courts, family courts, consumer forums, and other tribunals. Citizens with pending cases who want them to be considered by the National Lok Adalat must submit applications to the corresponding courts.
