A Navi Mumbai teacher is in custody after being arrested for reportedly making a semi-nude video call to one of her minor students. Following a complaint filed by the boy’s father, police booked the 35-year-old teacher under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. According to the police, the teacher had been sending the student obscene messages over social media, which then escalated into video calls. Upon learning of the situation, the boy’s parents reported the incident to the authorities. The police investigation includes examination of the teacher’s phone and a probe into the teacher’s past behavior. The incident mirrors a similar case from Mumbai, where a teacher was recently arrested for sexual assault.
