Nepal remained highly volatile on Tuesday as protests continued. Protesters voiced their outrage over perceived corruption and the controversial ban on social media. The situation quickly deteriorated, leading to the burning of key government buildings, including the Parliament House, Rashtrapati Bhavan, and the Supreme Court. Demonstrators also targeted the private residence of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli and the properties of various government officials. The government ultimately yielded to the overwhelming public sentiment, resulting in Prime Minister Oli’s resignation. The unrest is also impacting areas bordering Nepal, with reports of attacks on villages along the India-Nepal border.
