Following the reopening of the Kathmandu airport after days of closure due to protests, Air India and IndiGo are increasing flight services to assist stranded Indian citizens. The Civil Aviation Ministry is coordinating these efforts, as stated by Union Minister K Rammohan Naidu. He further mentioned that the airlines have been advised to maintain reasonable pricing for the flights. Air India will operate special flights from Delhi to Kathmandu and back to help passengers. The protests, led by Nepal Gen Z, caused the airport’s closure. The Ministry of External Affairs has issued an advisory, recommending Indians avoid non-essential travel to Nepal and follow local safety guidelines.
