
Air India Express is expanding its services with the introduction of direct flights from Ahmedabad and Chandigarh to Bengaluru. This strategic move aims to enhance connectivity and provide convenient travel experiences for passengers traveling to India’s technology hub. The Ahmedabad route will initially have one daily flight, increasing to two daily flights starting September 16. Chandigarh will have two daily non-stop flights to Bengaluru. The airline stated that Bengaluru is a major domestic hub with over 400 weekly flights to 34 cities. Passengers from Ahmedabad can use Bengaluru for connecting flights to 26 domestic and 3 international destinations. Travelers from Chandigarh can access 23 destinations across South Asia through connecting flights in Bengaluru. The new routes began on September 1. Air India Express is also preparing to launch a Bengaluru-Dehradun route on September 15. The airline operates over 405 weekly flights from Bengaluru, with direct flights to 34 domestic and 3 international locations. Domestic destinations include cities across India like Jaipur, Kochi, and others, while international destinations comprise Abu Dhabi, Dammam, and Kathmandu.
