
Noida International Airport Ltd. (NIAL) CEO Rakesh Kumar Singh inspected the airport on Wednesday, focusing on ongoing construction projects. The projects included the terminal building, runway, ATC tower, Sewage Treatment Plant (STP), and water treatment plant. Singh reported that all construction will be finalized by September, with the STP and water treatment plant nearing completion. Machinery for these plants is anticipated to arrive by July. At a meeting of the Environment Management Committee, District Magistrate Manish Kumar Verma addressed the importance of aircraft safety and initiated stringent measures concerning unauthorized constructions within a 10-kilometer radius of the airport. Verma stated that controlling the presence of birds and animals in the vicinity is essential. The DM instructed officials to perform monthly inspections of the airport surroundings and submit progress reports. He also directed the formation of a survey team to identify and remove buildings without No Objection Certificates (NOCs). Additionally, officials addressed the need to prevent unauthorized laser emitters and drone activities for publicity, and directed comprehensive outreach in rural areas.
