On the occasion of the International Day of Yoga, NALCO unveiled ‘Prakriti Yoga Bhoomi,’ a dedicated yoga facility within Mahatma Gandhi Park, Puri. Shri Brijendra Pratap Singh, CMD, and Dr. Tapas Kumar Pattanayak, Director (HR), led the inauguration, highlighting NALCO’s commitment to community health.
The addition of ‘Prakriti Yoga Bhoomi’ enhances the appeal of Mahatma Gandhi Park, a favorite location for jogging and leisurely walks, with visitors expressing their appreciation for the new space that promotes yoga practice. The event also included sapling planting as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ initiative, promoting environmental consciousness.
NALCO employees across the country participated in International Day of Yoga events. Yoga camps were held at various locations, including the Corporate Headquarters in Bhubaneswar, Angul, Damanjodi, regional offices, and Vizag port facilities. These sessions saw the enthusiastic participation of over 3,000 individuals, reinforcing the company’s emphasis on holistic health and well-being.
