
India’s Operation Sindhu successfully brought back over 2,500 Indian nationals from conflict-affected Iran. The evacuees have expressed their gratitude for the government’s rescue operation and safe return. Saiyada Jeniffer Rizvi described the situation in Iran as challenging, highlighting the support received from the Indian Embassy. Kasim, another evacuee, expressed his joy at returning home, complimenting the arrangements made for the evacuation. Syed Mehboob, from Ladakh, also voiced his gratitude to the embassy for their aid. A recent flight brought back 281 Indian nationals, along with three Sri Lankan and two Nepalese citizens, which takes the total number of evacuees under Operation Sindhu to 2576, as announced by the Ministry of External Affairs. The Minister of State for External Affairs, Pabitra Margherita, stated that the Indian government is committed to providing assistance to those in need and is also offering support to neighboring countries like Nepal and Sri Lanka. The MEA stated that Operation Sindhu is for every Indian national who needs evacuation and has offered support to neighboring countries.
