
Following talks with Japanese Prime Minister Ishiba, Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced the establishment of a roadmap for collaboration over the next decade. He expressed his appreciation to Prime Minister Ishiba for the warm welcome and kind words. Today’s discussions were both beneficial and purposeful.
Both leaders acknowledged the critical importance of their partnership, as representatives of two of the world’s largest economies and thriving democracies, for both their nations and for global peace and stability. The India-Japan partnership is founded on mutual trust, reflecting their national priorities and shaped by their shared values and beliefs. A goal of 10 trillion yen in Japanese investments in India has been set for the next 10 years.
PM Modi emphasized the significance of India and Japan’s collaboration for global peace and stability. A strong basis has been set for a new and promising phase in the India-Japan Special Strategic and Global Partnership.
