The aftermath of a police lathicharge in Ghazipur on September 9th has resulted in the death of a BJP worker. The incident, which unfolded during a BJP protest, has led to significant repercussions. Six police officers have been suspended, including the SHO of Nonhara, a Sub-Inspector, a Head Constable, and three Constables. Two SIs and three Constables present at the police outpost during the incident have also faced consequences. A Magistrate will oversee the investigation into the matter. The body of the deceased, Siyaram, is currently undergoing a postmortem examination.
