Speculation is rife concerning the potential political entry of Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, following the announcement of his ‘Nishant Samvad’ event on Sunday evening. Posters promoting the event were visible around the JDU office, which is the party of the longest-serving Chief Minister. The son of the JDU leader has not shied away from expressing his desire for his father to continue as Chief Minister, while he has been hesitant to comment on his own political career.
The posters suggest Nishant Kumar will share his insights on “welfare schemes started by Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.” In a surprising show of unity, young leaders from opposing parties, such as Tejashwi Yadav of the RJD and Union Minister Chirag Paswan, have stated they would welcome Nishant’s political entry if he decides to enter politics.
However, some senior figures remain doubtful that Nitish Kumar, known for avoiding “dynastic politics,” will allow his son to enter the political arena, at least until he himself exits politics.
