
The Kapasan police have registered a case against BJP MLA Arjun Lal Jingar and others after a man was severely injured in an attack. The victim, Suraj Mali, was assaulted allegedly for creating social media content highlighting the MLA’s failure to fulfill a promise regarding water supply. The attackers, reportedly using sticks and iron rods, caused significant injuries, including fractures to both of Mali’s legs. The incident has ignited political tensions, with protests and calls for action against the MLA. The Congress party and the Mali community organized demonstrations and submitted memoranda demanding justice. The Leader of the Opposition, Tika Ram Jully, has also commented on the case. The MLA’s office has not issued any official statement on the matter.
