RJD spokesperson Arun Kumar Yadav criticized Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, alleging that he has compromised on his principles by making deals with crime, corruption, and communal forces, thereby pushing Bihar into a decline. Meanwhile, Mangal Pandey, the Health and Law Minister of the Bihar government, congratulated and extended best wishes to Union Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on being appointed as the Bihar BJP election in-charge, also congratulating co-in-charges Keshav Prasad Maurya and C.R. Patil.
