Pooja Pal, the expelled MLA from the Samajwadi Party, has become a central figure in a political dispute after delivering a speech in the Uttar Pradesh assembly. Following her speech, she was removed from the party. Pal subsequently met with CM Yogi Adityanath and accused Akhilesh Yadav of posing a threat to her life. She claimed that he would be responsible for any harm that came her way. Akhilesh Yadav has since responded to these allegations.
Akhilesh Yadav has stated that it is difficult to understand how someone could meet the CM and then feel threatened by a leader from another party. He added that there are concerns about potential imprisonment and violence. He has written to Home Minister Amit Shah, requesting an investigation into those who may pose a threat within the organization, citing a lack of trust in the state government.
Yadav emphasized that the SP had supported Pal in difficult times and called for an investigation into the source of her alleged threats. He expressed his hope that justice would prevail, pointing out that she had not felt threatened during her time with the party.
Pooja Pal had previously written a letter accusing Akhilesh Yadav, holding him responsible for her safety. Her expulsion came after she praised CM Yogi, leading to a cycle of accusations and speculation about her future political path, with possibilities of aligning with the BJP.
