Protests towards Agnipath scheme, Gurugram-Jaipur freeway blocked

GURUGRAM: Masses of younger other folks on Thursday took to the streets in Bilaspur and Sidhrawali spaces of Gurugram and Rewari, some 50 km away, towards the ‘Agnipath’ scheme unveiled by way of the Centre previous this week to recruit squaddies in large part on a temporary contractual foundation.

Ex-soldier and senior Congress chief Captain Ajay Yadav in a remark stated that the scheme is aimed to demean the spirit of forces and lower down on advantages being given to military jawans.

“Military isn’t occupation however interest and lifestyles. Our districts like Rewari ship their sons to serve the country once a year and this demeans their interest. Over 4 lakh posts are vacant within the military and this reasonable try to compensate them with small contract employment is unacceptable,” Yadav stated.
