The Kerala police are investigating the suicide of a woman in her 40s following an incident of public shaming. Three SDPI activists have been arrested in connection with the case. The woman, identified as Rasina, was reportedly upset after a public confrontation over her male friend. The friend was reportedly assaulted and detained for an hour. The accused also confiscated his mobile phone and summoned his family members to the SDPI office. Concurrently, the Supreme Court has handed over the probe into the role of Tamil Nadu’s ADGP HM Jayaram in an abduction case to the CBCID.
