The Pushpak Express, traveling from Lucknow to Mumbai, experienced an alarming situation when smoke emerged from a sleeper coach near Bhadli station, located between Bhusawal and Jalgaon. The incident resulted in a temporary suspension of the train’s journey, causing concern among the passengers. There were initial reports that a fire broke out. Authorities are investigating the cause, with speculation focusing on the newer fiber brake liners in the coaches. These liners are designed to replace iron ones.
The train was held for approximately 20-30 minutes to allow for a thorough inspection and remedial actions. Fortunately, after the situation was assessed and addressed, the train was able to continue its route towards Nashik.
