Following the Railway Board’s latest guidelines, West Central Railway, Bhopal, has implemented a new system for passenger identity verification using the mAadhaar application. The goal is to curb unauthorized travel and prevent the misuse of false Aadhaar cards or tickets booked under someone else’s name. The mAadhaar app, created by the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), will provide real-time identity authentication through its QR code-based verification feature. This technology will be extended to Handheld Terminals (HHT devices) to enhance ticket security and verify passenger identities.
