Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has issued a stern response to Rahul Gandhi’s recent remarks that suggested caste demographics influence the Indian Army. Addressing a gathering in Banka, Bihar, Singh firmly stated that the Army operates under the singular principle of ‘Sainya Dharma,’ meaning the duty of a soldier, and should not be politicized. He emphasized that the bravery of the armed forces has consistently served to enhance India’s international standing.
Singh lamented that politics involving caste and religious divisions has inflicted significant harm upon the nation. He advocated for a unified approach where all social groups are empowered, affirming that India’s heritage promotes equality rather than discrimination. The Defense Minister referenced the successful ‘Operation Sindoor,’ launched in response to a terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where major militant bases were neutralized. He assured the public that the operation is a testament to India’s growing military might and that the country is now recognized worldwide as a powerful entity. Singh indicated that the operation is temporarily paused and will be resumed if necessary.
