Mohan Bhagwat, the leader of the RSS, attended the Vidarbha Sanskar Bharati program in Nagpur. This visit coincided with the RSS’s 100th anniversary. During his speech at the Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan, Bhagwat stated that art is not merely a form of entertainment in our culture; it is also a means of shaping character. He referred to the concept of ‘Satyam Shivam Sundaram’ to describe Hindu philosophy of art, which links truth, divinity, and beauty. He suggested that our perception of art must reflect this ideal to build character.
He further emphasized the role of culture in shaping values and that the goal of art is to instill these values. The Hedgewar Smriti Bhavan displayed portraits, rangoli, and a booklet to honor 101 deceased RSS campaigners and workers, organized by Vidarbha Sanskar Bharati.
The celebration of the centenary will continue for a year. The head of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh said that the Sangh’s work has reached 100 years, and the celebration will last for a year.
