A catastrophic event in Pavagadh, Gujarat, led to the death of at least six individuals when a ropeway trolley, loaded with construction materials, collapsed. The accident occurred on Saturday, September 6, at the Pavagadh Hill Temple within the Panchmahal district. The collapse was triggered by a failure of the cargo ropeway’s cable wire. Response teams immediately initiated rescue and relief efforts. Minister Rushikesh Patel reported that the bogie that fell contained six laborers, all of whom died in the accident. A committee has been formed by the Collector to investigate the incident, with a preliminary report expected to be submitted. The accident has raised concerns over the safety protocols involved in the ongoing construction work near the Pavagadh temple, a significant religious site visited by many pilgrims.
