
In a recent address, Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin accused the AIADMK of attempting to assist the BJP in expanding its presence within the state. He framed the upcoming 2026 Assembly elections as a critical battle to preserve Tamil Nadu’s cultural identity. Stalin condemned the AIADMK’s alleged political maneuvering, specifically mentioning Edappadi K Palaniswami’s actions. He stressed the ideological divide between the BJP and the Tamil people. The Deputy CM also expressed concern over alleged disparities in central funding for Tamil Nadu, using educational funding as an example. He provided an update on the health of Chief Minister M.K. Stalin and commended his commitment to his duties. Udhayanidhi drew parallels to the leadership of M. Karunanidhi and underscored the importance of the DMK-led INDIA bloc. He also showcased the DMK government’s achievements, including the Women’s Rights Scheme and the state’s economic growth, and acknowledged the crucial role of the DMK booth agents.
