SpaceX’s Starlink is gearing up for its Indian debut, with the launch expected in the next two months. This follows a discussion between SpaceX COO Gwynne Shotwell and Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia. Shotwell acknowledged the recent license as a positive development. The satellite internet service will offer its dish at a cost of approximately Rs 33,000, with a monthly plan of Rs 3,000. To encourage adoption, Starlink will include a one-month free trial. This launch could significantly improve internet access in remote and rural locations, thereby promoting digital empowerment across India. The pricing strategy aligns with that of neighboring countries, indicating a regional consistency.
