A significant political development in Maharashtra sees the Shiv Sena (UBT) and the Maharashtra Navnirman Sena joining forces for the upcoming municipal elections. According to Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut, the alliance between Uddhav Thackeray and Raj Thackeray will contest elections in key areas including Mumbai, Thane, Nashik, and Kalyan-Dombivli. Raut emphasized the importance of the Marathi community’s unity in achieving electoral success. This move follows their previous collaboration on the Marathi language issue, which resulted in the Maharashtra government retracting the Hindi language mandate in schools. Raj Thackeray also visited Uddhav Thackeray recently after a long absence, marking a significant gesture of unity.
