Mumbai Crime Branch’s interrogation of Amol Gaikwad, a suspect in the Baba Siddiqui murder, has brought forth crucial information. Gaikwad admitted to using ‘Dabba Calling’ to communicate with Shubham Lonkar, the main suspect, according to the police. They used encrypted apps, such as Signal, for their communications.
‘Dabba Calling’ utilizes Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) to make calls. This technique employs an encrypted connection between the device and a remote server, which masks the caller’s actual identity and location. This makes it incredibly challenging for law enforcement and investigative agencies to track down the origin of such calls.
