BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi has voiced strong criticism against the Congress Party concerning the Chhattisgarh corruption case, which involves Chaitanya Baghel, son of former Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel. He accused the Congress leadership of defending the case for political reasons. During a press briefing, Trivedi specifically addressed the unusual support from the party’s top officials. He contrasted the current situation with previous instances, like Rahul Gandhi’s defense of his brother-in-law, and questioned why the party was so keen to defend this political issue. He demanded an explanation from the Congress regarding their alleged interest in the case. Trivedi also speculated on the potential wider scope of the alleged scam, potentially involving connections to Delhi. Furthermore, he pointed out that various Congress-led states, including Karnataka and Telangana, have faced corruption accusations. The recent arrest of Chaitanya Baghel by the Enforcement Directorate is connected to this ongoing investigation.
