A team from the Bahraich district administration conducted an inspection of an unregistered madrassa, uncovering a distressing scene. Forty girls, aged between 9 and 14, were discovered locked inside a toilet. The inspection was prompted by complaints concerning the illegal operation of the madrassa, which was housed in a three-story building in Pahalwara village. Officials were initially met with resistance when attempting to access the upper floors. With police support, the authorities were able to enter the premises and found the locked toilet on the terrace. When the door was opened, the girls came out, appearing unable to communicate their experiences. Local reports indicated that the madrassa had been operating without registration for the past three years.
