At a public gathering in Ambedkar Nagar, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath criticized the recruitment practices of the previous Samajwadi Party government, alleging that government jobs were ‘auctioned’ before 2017. He claimed that one particular family was primarily responsible for this activity. According to Adityanath, the current government has reformed the recruitment process, now prioritizing merit. He also launched 194 development projects worth Rs 1,184 crore. Moreover, the Chief Minister announced financial assistance for farmers under the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Bima Yojana,’ with over Rs 500 crore allocated to 11,690 families. Each family of farmers affected by disasters will receive financial support from the UP government. This announcement followed Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s distribution of appointment letters to over 60,000 new Civil Police Constables in Lucknow. Shah highlighted the revitalization of the Uttar Pradesh Police, mentioning the improved law and order situation after 2017. The Uttar Pradesh Police Constable Recruitment Exam 2024 took place across 67 districts in August.
