An alarming incident unfolded in the Jagdishpur area of Raebareli district, Uttar Pradesh, where a woman attacked her husband, leading to the severing of his genitals. The victim, Ansar Ahmed, was attacked by his second wife, Nazneen Bano, following an altercation. Emergency services were called, and he was referred to AIIMS, Raebareli, for treatment. Law enforcement has apprehended the woman and is conducting an inquiry into the circumstances. Separately, the CBI has successfully rescued a minor girl who disappeared from Bardhaman, West Bengal, in August 2023. The CBI team located the girl in Pali, Rajasthan, after receiving information from various sources and analyzing call detail records. The case was initially handled by local and state police before being transferred to the CBI by the High Court of Calcutta.
