The Ganga Expressway is nearing completion, with 89% of the construction finished, as stated by UPEIDA. This ambitious project aims to drastically improve connectivity across 12 districts in Uttar Pradesh. The 594-kilometer expressway, starting in Meerut and ending in Prayagraj, is designed as a fully access-controlled route. This massive undertaking, with a budget exceeding Rs. 36,200 crore, will be the longest expressway in the state. Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone in 2021, emphasizing the importance of enhanced connectivity for the development of farmers, traders, and entrepreneurs in the region. The expressway also features provisions for an industrial corridor and an airstrip.
