In Lucknow, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched ‘Mission Shakti-5.0,’ a program designed to further advance women’s safety, education, and nutritional well-being in Uttar Pradesh. The Chief Minister highlighted the transformative changes witnessed since 2017, including a move away from insecurity and towards the empowerment of girls and women. He pointed to the improved conditions at Anganwadi centers, which now offer nutritious meals, and the distribution of tablets to girls in higher education. The initiative also addresses the challenges faced by women regarding employment. Mission Shakti-5.0 is scheduled to begin on September 22 and will run for 30 days. The government intends to deepen the impact of the program through comprehensive interdepartmental coordination and by ensuring a visible police presence, including active PRV-112 vehicles on the roads.
