
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami embarked on a jungle safari adventure at Corbett National Park, taking in the splendor of the wildlife and the surrounding environment. He expressed that the safari was a chance to appreciate the natural heritage and biodiversity of the area. The Uttarakhand government’s focus on tourism has led to a surge in jungle safari experiences, drawing a large number of visitors and boosting the local economy. This growth has also created new prospects for self-employment and livelihood for residents. As part of his visit, the ‘One Tree for Mother’ campaign saw over a thousand trees planted, supported by the Forest Department, local communities, and environmental groups. The Chief Minister described the tree planting as a tribute to motherhood and nature. He also recognized the Forest Department for their dedication in the protection of forests and wildlife and conservation of the state’s greenery and biodiversity.
