
A day after a landslide caused disruption on the Yamunotri Yatra route in Jankichatti, collaborative rescue operations are underway. The SDRF, NDRF, District Police, and other teams are actively involved in search and rescue efforts. SDRF Commander Arpan Yaduvanshi is overseeing the operation, with drone cameras being deployed to conduct aerial surveys of the affected area. The drone footage is being used to pinpoint any suspicious areas, stated an official release. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed his sorrow about the event and affirmed that the SDRF, police, forest department, and medical teams are providing necessary relief and rescue assistance. The landslide took place at Nau Kachi, approximately 3 km from Janaki Chatti on the Yamunotri Dham Yatra route. One injured person has been rescued and taken to PHC Jankichatti for treatment.
