Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami of Uttarakhand has unveiled two key initiatives to benefit the state. Firstly, outstanding students who top high school and intermediate exams will be honored by allowing them to serve as District Magistrate (DM) and Superintendent of Police (SP) for a day. This program seeks to boost the students’ confidence and introduce them to administrative functions. Secondly, the government will organize “River Festivals” across the state, with active public involvement, to promote the cleanliness, rejuvenation, and conservation of Uttarakhand’s rivers. The festivals aim to raise public awareness about the importance of water conservation and the cultural significance of rivers in the state.
