Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is poised to unveil a comprehensive women’s policy during his fifth year in office. This policy, which will be the first of its kind in Uttarakhand, is expected to be considered by the cabinet soon. The aim of the policy is to provide a structured approach to the economic and social empowerment of women. Over the past few years, the Dhami government has introduced several impactful initiatives, including 30% reservation for women in government jobs and reservation in cooperative societies. Additionally, the government has launched initiatives like Mahila Saarthi Yojana, Ekal Mahila Swarozgar Yojana, and Lakhpati Didi to enhance women’s financial independence.
