During the Voter Adhikar Yatra in Bihar, Rahul Gandhi strongly criticized the Election Commission (EC), alleging a partnership with the BJP. He stated that the EC has not addressed his questions, specifically regarding the origins of one lakh voters in Karnataka. Gandhi contrasted the EC’s actions, noting that he was asked for an affidavit while similar demands were not made to Anurag Thakur. Gandhi suggested that the EC is not impartial and is aligned with the BJP. He emphasized that the Yatra is successful and aims to prevent election theft, highlighting instances in Maharashtra, Haryana, and Karnataka. Tejashwi Yadav, a leader from RJD, expressed concern about the EC losing its credibility, claiming that it functions like a BJP cell. The Yatra, which included other leaders such as Mukesh Sahni, and various Congress members, is focused on safeguarding democracy and the constitution.
