The IMD has issued warnings for heavy rainfall impacting Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. While the monsoon has officially arrived across India, Delhi continues to experience dry conditions with occasional light showers. The lack of significant rainfall is contributing to high humidity and discomfort for Delhi residents. Meanwhile, coastal Karnataka, Yanam, Telangana, and Lakshadweep are also bracing for showers, thunderstorms, and lightning. Many areas are facing severe waterlogging and flooding, leading to advisories and alerts across multiple regions. These include Madhya Pradesh (July 21–23), Odisha and Chhattisgarh (July 22–24), Bihar (July 20–22), and Sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim (until July 21). The IMD anticipates further extreme weather events. Citizens are advised to prepare for potential travel disruptions. Expect continuous heavy rainfall in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, and Tripura until July 22. Isolated heavy rainfall is also predicted for Rajasthan (July 19, 2025), Uttarakhand (July 20 and 21), West Uttar Pradesh (until July 22), East Uttar Pradesh (July 21), Jammu & Kashmir (July 20 to 23), and Punjab and Haryana (July 20 to 22).
