In a recent public statement, West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee accused the BJP government of unfairly associating Bengalis with Rohingyas and Bangladeshis. During her address, she resolutely stated, “We will fight inch by inch,” underscoring her commitment to defend the rights of the people. Banerjee raised questions about the BJP’s policies, questioning the labeling of Bengalis, and referencing the national anthem to emphasize the community’s contributions. She further alleged the BJP’s involvement in voter list manipulations, citing examples from Bihar, Maharashtra, and Delhi, and expressed her determination to prevent similar actions in West Bengal. She acknowledged the Election Commission’s role but vowed to resist BJP interference.
