In a recent board meeting, the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) approved an ambitious plan including a new affordable housing scheme and an entertainment zone. This initiative aims to provide homes for the economically weaker section (EWS), with 30,000 plots of 30 square meters each allocated to families earning less than Rs 3 lakh annually. The plan also features the construction of a golf course, gymkhana, and Delhi Haat near the forthcoming Noida International Airport. The first phase will see the release of 4,268 plots in Sectors 17, 18, and 20. The meeting, chaired by YEIDA Chairman Alok Kumar, also gave the go-ahead for a police station, two fire stations, and other recreational amenities. The projects will be located within the designated ‘recreational green zones’ outlined in the 2041 Master Plan, with the goal of establishing the area as a premier business and leisure destination.
