India’s impressive performance in the Asia Cup 2025 continues, with the team securing a hat-trick of wins. Their recent victory over Oman by 21 runs highlights their strong form and maintains their leading position in the points table. Oman, unfortunately, could not secure a single win in the tournament and is now out. The Super 4 stage will begin on September 20, featuring a clash between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. The highly anticipated India versus Pakistan match is set for September 21. The points table remained unchanged following India’s match against Oman.
India’s dominance in Group A is evident, with them at the top of the table with six points, having won all three matches. Pakistan secured the second spot with two wins and one loss, also advancing to the Super 4. The United Arab Emirates (UAE) managed to win only one match, which left them in third place and eliminated from the tournament. Oman ended at the bottom, with losses in all three matches. Sri Lanka claimed the top spot in Group B.
In Group B’s final league match, Sri Lanka defeated Afghanistan, consequently eliminating Afghanistan and allowing Bangladesh to progress to the Super 4. If Afghanistan had won, Bangladesh would have been knocked out. Sri Lanka’s undefeated run, winning all three matches, ensured their top position. Bangladesh secured the second position with 4 points from two wins. Afghanistan, with only one win, finished in third place, while Hong Kong remained at the bottom after losing all of their matches.
