The match referee for the Pakistan versus UAE match in the Asia Cup is set for a change, with Richie Richardson expected to replace Andy Pycroft. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has retracted its earlier threat to pull out of the tournament and will be participating in its final group league match against the UAE. The PCB had previously requested the removal of Andy Pycroft, a request which the ICC denied. The refusal came after Indian players chose not to engage in handshakes with Pakistani players, a gesture of respect for the victims of the Pahalgam terrorist attack. The PCB was reportedly seeking Pycroft’s removal, alleging violations of ICC rules.
