
India celebrated their ninth Asia Cup title following a 5-wicket victory against Pakistan on September 28th. Abhishek Sharma’s performance was outstanding, with 314 runs across seven innings, leading to his recognition as the Player of the Tournament. His reward was a Haval H9 SUV.
The final match saw India defeat Pakistan, with crucial contributions from Tilak Varma, who scored 69 runs, and Rinku Singh, who secured the win in the final over. The Indian team remained undefeated throughout the tournament, winning all nine matches, including the final.
The Haval H9 is a product of Haval, a subsidiary of Great Wall Motors (GWM), a Chinese automotive manufacturer. This SUV is powered by a 2.0L turbo petrol engine, producing approximately 214 hp and 380 Nm of torque. It features an 8-speed automatic transmission, enabling a top speed of around 200 km/h and fuel efficiency of 9–12 km/l.
The vehicle comes with Level 2 ADAS safety features, including Traffic Sign Recognition, Rear Collision Warning, and Automatic Emergency Braking. Inside, the seven-seater cabin includes a 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 10-speaker audio system, a panoramic sunroof, and wireless charging. While Haval intends to launch the H9 in India, priced around Rs 40 lakh, it is currently not available for sale in the country.
