The achievement came during the third and final ODI against India in Delhi. The Australian team scored 412 runs in 47.5 overs before being all out, replicating their previous best score and showcasing an impressive performance.
Their previous record of 412 runs in a women’s ODI was set in 1997 against Denmark. During that match, Australia scored 412 runs, losing 3 wickets in 50 overs. They have now equaled this score against India.
The Australian batters displayed exceptional form on the Delhi field, enabling the team to score 412 runs against the Indian women. Beth Mooney played a pivotal role, not only scoring a century but also achieving a career-best ODI score of 138 runs. This was accomplished in 75 balls, with 23 fours and a six.
Georgia Wareham, opening the innings, also achieved her career-highest score in an ODI, scoring 81 runs off 68 balls, which included 14 fours. This marked her first score exceeding fifty. Ellyse Perry also contributed with 68 runs. Australia saw century partnerships for the second and third wickets, with an 87-run partnership for the fourth.
