Ahead of the Asia Cup, Team India has experienced a significant change. The BCCI has decided to part ways with a support staff member who has been connected with the team for 15 years. The board has not renewed the contract of this individual. After the earlier departures of former batting coach Abhishek Nayar and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai, another support staff member has been removed from the setup. This individual was a vital part of Team India and was present during the England tour. Consequently, massage therapist Rajiv Kumar will not be traveling with the team for the Asia Cup.
