A contentious situation has developed following the Asia Cup final, where India triumphed over Pakistan. The controversy revolves around ACC chief Mohsin Naqvi and the whereabouts of the winning trophy. Sources state that during the awards ceremony, the Indian team did not accept the trophy from Naqvi. After the game, Naqvi allegedly took the trophy. This incident was discussed in an ACC meeting. BCCI representatives, led by Rajeev Shukla, questioned Naqvi’s actions, reminding him of the trophy’s ownership. Naqvi is said to have avoided direct responses during the meeting. He initially hesitated to acknowledge India’s victory but was later prompted to congratulate the team. The BCCI has demanded the immediate return of the trophy, but Naqvi has yet to comply, leaving the BCCI highly displeased. Consequently, the BCCI plans to file an official complaint with the ICC.
